ON A FRIDAY
One of the biggest wonders behind every great artist are two questions: what inspiration do you lean on and what does that creation process look like? Working with the amazing visual composer, Josh Schoemaker, we wanted to find a way to let the audience into the studio while keeping some of the mystery and curiosity intact.
With Radiohead playing on repeat in the studio, 13,000 pictures were taken on two iPhone Xs while Schoemaker performed the final ink collage work in his Radiohead tribute collection called "On a Friday." Stop Motion was the best tactic to portray the artist's process because it told the creative story and process without giving away the unique elements of his craft. Everything in its Right Place not only documents the creative performance of the artist, but it also narrates the song by incorporating things like lemons to match Thom Yorke's lyrics. The stop motion piece is an inception in a sense that it's an art performance documenting an artistic creation.
